Before We Begin…
Design & Ordering
-
There are two ways to begin.
If you are ordering an existing piece from our collection, you can place your order directly through the website. Installation can be added if required. Once your order is received, a member of our design team will be in touch to confirm your chosen colour and arrange a suitable delivery date.
If you are looking for something more bespoke, you have two options.
If you already have measurements or inspiration images, you can request a custom estimate here and one of our designers will prepare a tailored quotation for you.
Alternatively, if you would prefer a fully considered design approach, you can book a virtual consultation and design package here. This includes a dedicated design call and detailed proposal. The cost of this package is deducted from your final order should you proceed.
-
Absolutely. Creating custom pieces tailored to each client’s space is at the heart of what we do.
If you already have measurements and a clear idea of what you require, you can request a bespoke estimate here and our design team will prepare a tailored quotation for you.
If you are unsure what would best suit and/or fit your space, we offer a virtual design consultation, and in some cases, in person consultations for clients local to Essex. This service includes a considered design concept along with a detailed quotation. The consultation fee is fully deductible from your final order should you proceed.
-
Yes. Every piece we create is made to order, which means internal layouts can be tailored to suit your needs.
Even if you purchase one of our classic designs, you will receive a detailed sign off document prior to production. This confirms shelf positions, internal finishes and all key specifications. Should you wish to adjust any of these elements, changes can be made before manufacturing begins.
-
Absolutely. We understand how important colour is to the overall feel and character of a piece.
We use Benjamin Moore paints as standard, offering over 3,000 shades to choose from, ensuring you will find the perfect tone for your space.
If you have a specific colour in mind, we can colour match to most major paint brands to achieve your desired finish.
-
Yes. Every project includes a detailed virtual sign off document outlining all specifications, including dimensions, material finishes, handle selections and internal configurations.
This document must be approved before your cabinetry enters production, ensuring you have a full understanding of the piece and the opportunity to make any final adjustments prior to manufacture.
Craftsmanship & Materials
-
All of our furniture is handcrafted in our Essex workshop by our skilled team.
-
We use a carefully considered combination of materials depending on the piece and its intended function.
This may include real timbers, high-quality moisture-resistant MDF (Hidrofugo), premium veneered panels and solid wood components. Each material is selected for its structural integrity, durability and finish quality.
Our approach ensures that every piece not only looks refined, but is built to perform and last within the home environment.
-
Our painted furniture is professionally spray finished to create a smooth, durable base layer. Each piece is then carefully laid off by hand with a brush, giving it a refined, soulful look.
This approach allows us to achieve both strength and subtle texture, ensuring the finish feels handcrafted rather than overly manufactured. It also makes future touch ups far more seamless, should they ever be required.
-
Yes. We do not use flat-pack systems, and our cabinetry is not designed to be self-assembled.
Each piece is constructed and finished within our workshop to ensure structural integrity and longevity.
On occasion, exceptionally large or tall items may need to be partially disassembled for access purposes, such as navigating stairways or narrow doorways. In these instances, clients are informed in advance and the piece is carefully reassembled during installation.
Lead Times & Production
-
Our current production lead time is approximately 4–6 weeks from final sign off.
As each piece is made to order, timelines begin once all specifications have been approved. We will confirm your estimated completion and delivery date when your order is placed.
-
Production begins once your online sign-off document has been approved and all specifications have been confirmed.
This ensures that dimensions, finishes, hardware selections and internal configurations are fully agreed before manufacturing starts. Only once everything has been finalised will your piece move into production.
-
Our lead times are provided as an estimate and are based on timely approval of your sign-off document.
If additional time is required to finalise colours, finishes or cabinetry details, this may adjust your projected completion date. We will always communicate any changes clearly and keep you informed throughout the process.
Delivery & Installation
-
Yes. Our furniture is designed to be professionally installed.
Installation must be carried out either by our team or by a qualified builder, carpenter or tradesperson experienced in fitting cabinetry. These pieces are substantial and require secure fixing to ensure structural stability and a high-quality finish.
If you are arranging your own installer, we are happy to provide guidance where needed.
-
Yes, we offer professional installation for most of our pieces.
For items ordered directly through the website, installation can be added at checkout. Each furniture piece has a corresponding installation option, for example, the Amelia Media Wall will display “Amelia Installation” as an add-on when the product is added to your basket.
Please note that installation is not included in the listed furniture price unless explicitly stated.
For bespoke projects, installation may be incorporated into the overall quotation depending on the scope of works discussed. This will always be clearly outlined within your proposal.
-
Yes, we deliver across England and Wales.
Delivery costs will vary depending on location, and this will be clearly outlined at the point of quotation or checkout. We take great care in transporting our furniture to ensure it arrives safely and in perfect condition.
-
Yes. It is important that you notify us in advance of any access limitations, including stairs, narrow hallways, tight corners, restricted parking or lift access.
Our furniture is substantial and built to last, so clear access is essential to ensure safe delivery. If additional labour or specialist handling is required, this may incur an additional charge. We will always discuss this with you beforehand.
-
We kindly ask that the installation area is cleared of furniture and personal belongings prior to our arrival. Flooring and surrounding areas should be protected where necessary.
We will advise of any additional preparation requirements specific to your project in advance.
